One of my most favourite Judo players to watch growing up was Jimmy Pedro. I loved seeing his grip fighting skills, his tai otoshis as well as his kata guruma attack that he brought across from when he used to wrestle. I also loved seeing the intense fights he had against Koreas Won hee Lee. If you haven’t seen those fights I suggest you check them out as you can learn a lot from watching how they move and grip – both of them never give an inch in their gripping, and this is one reason why Jimmy got to where he did, because of his insane understanding of grip fighting.

As a competitor I also loved watching Travis Stevens, mainly because he looks super duper strong, and he happens to have a really nice seoi nage attack which is a lot different to most people’s these days. So you can imagine how excited I got last year when both Travis and Jimmy got together to do a bunch of tutorials via Youtube and in their product The Takedown Blueprint

Here are some of the best Jimmy and Travis videos on the net.
